Kent Bowen, CFP®, AAMS®

Partner | Wealth Manager

Partner I Wealth Manager Kent Bowen operates his independent Kingsview Partners practice in Amarillo, Texas. He is a former Edward Jones advisor with 24 years of experience and joined Kingsview’s independent platform in 2023.

The Value Of Hard Work and Experience

Growing up on a farm near Roswell, NM, Kent was raised with a strong work ethic and moral code that he has adhered to throughout his life. “I understand the value of hard work and want to be sure that people see the fruits of their labor,” says Kent. “I am blessed to have a career that allows me to help people meet their goals, and I get to be a part of their life. God gives us all talents and abilities, and we’re lucky when we can use them to help others.” Kent attended Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas, and has a BS in Chemistry.

The Power of Strong Relationships

Kent works with a select group of very successful individuals, business owners and professionals who, among other things, aspire to have a work-optional lifestyle. His practice uses a consultative process to identify clients’ current positions, where they want to go, and any potential stumbling blocks to getting there.

“Our clients and their families trust us to know the most intimate details of their lives, and that’s not something I take lightly. This deep understanding of their personal lives and goals allows me to help them work toward achieving what is most important to them,” says Kent. “I just enjoy getting to know people and helping them succeed. The friendship and love that develops from forming these relationships is so rewarding.”

The Right Wealth Manager For Your Needs

Kent follows a refined process, beginning with a discovery meeting where he works to understand each client’s needs and priorities. Once those things have been discussed, there are three potential outcomes. When considering a client’s best interest, full transparency is key.

“First, if we do a review and you’re already working with another financial advisor who is doing a great job, I might recommend you stay put. Second, if we identify some gaps in your situation that demonstrate that we are a good fit for each other, I might invite you to be part of our family of clients. Third, if I think you need a change, but I’m not the right fit for your situation, I would personally recommend a financial advisor who I believe might be.”

It really comes down to doing right by the client, every time.

On a Personal Note:

Kent is a husband, father, grandfather and friend. As in his professional life, his personal life is defined by the quality of his relationships. He has been married to his wife Tycie for 41 years and has five successful children and 13 grandchildren. Kent works and shares office space with two of his children, Ashby and Trevin, who are also Kingsview Wealth Managers. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, and is an avid hunter.

Navigating Medicare

As a consumer, it’s important to know the basics about Medicare. However, we realize it can be confusing to determine which plan will work best for you – so that’s why Medicare BackOffice® is here to help.

What is Medicare?

Medicare is health insurance for people age 65 or older, under age 65 with certain disabilities and people of any age with end-stage renal disease. Below, we will explain the four parts of Medicare — Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D.

It’s important that you understand the different components of Medicare and carefully weigh your choices. Why? Because your decision will impact many things, from what you pay and which benefits are available to you, to which doctors you can see and the quality of care you receive.

You Have Several Options, Depending on Where You Live. You Can:

– Elect Original Medicare

– Elect Original Medicare and add drug coverage with a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan

– Substitute a private Medicare Advantage plan for Original Medicare

– Substitute a private Medicare Advantage plan that also includes Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage in place of Original Medicare (resulting in an “MA-PD” plan)

– Elect Original Medicare, add a Medicare Supplement insurance plan to pay for any gaps in coverage and add drug coverage with a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan

We understand deciding on a Medicare health plan is one of the most important decisions you’ll make in retirement. We’re here to help.
