Josh Saunders is a Partner and Wealth Manager with Kingsview Partners in Knoxville, Tennessee. With financial industry experience dating back to 2009, Josh brings an extensive background in comprehensive wealth management.
He earned his Bachelor of Science from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and his Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi.
His financial career began as a co-founder of Sky Blue Capital, a Texas-based start-up hedge fund. He then later worked as a commodity and futures broker with Great Pacific Trading Company and as a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Trust-CFO.

As both a financial advisor and professional pilot, Josh has a particularly strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing aviation professionals. He helps pilots coordinate airline retirement plans, military benefits, investments, insurance, taxes, and personal assets around their goals.
A Career Shaped by Service and Aviation
Before entering the financial industry, Josh fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a United States Naval Aviator. During his active-duty service, he supported military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2003 and Southeast Asia in 2005.
In 2006, Josh was selected to serve as a primary flight instructor, training Navy and Marine Corps officers during the initial phase of military flight training. After completing his active-duty commitment, he continued serving in the Navy Reserve as an instructor pilot flying the T-34 and T-6 Texan II. He achieved the rank of Commander and retired from the Navy Reserve in April 2021.
His experience as a naval officer, instructor pilot, professional pilot, business executive, and financial advisor continues to shape the disciplined and detail-oriented approach he brings to financial planning. Josh believes successful financial outcomes require preparation, clear communication, ongoing oversight, and the ability to adjust when conditions change.
A Life Centered on Family and Community
Outside of work and aviation, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristi, and their four children.He has served on the Board of Directors of Sky Mountain Christian Camp, volunteered through his local church, coached youth sports, hosted a podcast, and remained actively involved in his community.
