Wealth Manager and Partner Joshua Saunders operates his independent practice at Kingsview Partners in Knoxville, TN.
He is passionate about helping business owners minimize their exposure to lawsuits and creditor attacks, and serves as risk and financial management for his client’s business and personal affairs. Mr. Saunders previously served as the COO and Partner at Trust-CFO but departed to better serve his business owner clients with varying strategies.
Mr. Saunders has worked with one of California’s top life assurance firms, learning the value of adding different tax and risk management strategies to a client’s estate and financial world. Before that, he was a commodity and futures broker with Great Pacific Trading Company, specializing in Commodity Trading Advisors (CTA) in the alternative investment arena.
Mr. Saunders started his career in the financial world in 2008 as the co-founder of a small start-up hedge fund Sky Blue Capital based in Texas. In this role, he was the COO as well as on the investment committee.
Before entering the financial management business, Mr. Saunders fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a Naval Aviator, bravely serving in the United States Navy for nine years. During his full-time active-duty service, he supported operations in conflict zones in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2003 and Southeast Asia in 2005. In 2006 he was chosen as a primary flight instructor, teaching and guiding young Navy and Marine officers through their first phase of flight training. Upon completion of his Active-Duty service commitment, Mr. Saunders joined the Navy Reserve. He has reached the rank of Commander and flew as an instructor pilot in Training Squadron Twenty-Eight. He retired from the US Navy Reserve in April of 2021 and still flies part time.
Mr. Saunders has a Bachelor of Science from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a Master’s in Business Administration from Texas A&M in Corpus Christi. While in the Navy, he also attended the graduate level Aviation Safety and Risk Management course. Mr. Saunders holds his series 65 as well as life, health and variable insurance licenses.
In his spare time, Mr. Saunders has served on the Board of Directors of Sky Mountain Christian Camp and volunteered at his local church. He also coaches soccer and basketball, hosts a podcast, and is actively involved in the business community. Josh’s favorite pastime is taking care of his lovely wife Kristi and their three boys and little girl.
