Ian entered the financial services industry in 1997, supporting one of the largest teams at his firm while “learning the ropes”.
In July of 2001, Ian went through the Morgan Stanley Advisor Training program and was one of 8 graduates (out of over 200 candidates). Shortly after that, he formed a partnership with his cousin Jonathan to embark on their careers as Financial Advisors. He is a graduate of The State University of Albany with a bachelor’s degree in Business and English.
Ian was trained by William J. O’Neil (founder of Investor’s Business Daily and author of countless books on investing) and went through the IBD Portfolio Management classes in Fundamental and Technical Analysis, completing levels I, II & III. He has also earned the titles of Accredited Investment Fiduciary and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor.
After stints at Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo Advisors, Ian and Jonathan co-founded Kingsview’s first office in Woodbury, NY, where they serve as personal “CFO’s” to their clients. Clients can expect Ian and Jonathan to handle all things financial, including but not limited to balanced portfolios, 401k’s, insurance, and estate planning needs.
Ian applies his extensive experience in Financial Planning and Portfolio Management when helping his clients navigate their retirements, to try to fulfill all their wants and wishes. He was named by New York Magazine as a “Five Star Wealth Manager in New York City” and was featured with his team in the December 15, 2014, Forbes article, “Investing With A Safety Net”.
Ian was born and raised on Long Island, where he currently enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and volunteering as a board member for the local Little League. When Ian is not in the office, there is a good chance you can find him on a field somewhere, either watching or coaching softball and baseball.
