With nearly 40 years in the Financial Services industry, Wealth Manager and Partner Erick Ficken manages his independent practice at Kingsview in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Growing up between Augusta, Georgia and North Augusta, South Carolina, Mr. Ficken attended Newberry College, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. An early favorite college course on the financial markets stirred Erick’s interest and he has enjoyed sharing his passion of assisting families with managing their finances ever since. Whether clients first become friends or friends become clients, he takes joy in developing relationships and plans to keep doing so for as long as he can.
Though prior firms often hindered his ability to fully embrace the fiduciary model, he is grateful to have found with Kingsview a true independent platform to offer sophisticated wealth management services. These services include personalized guidance, client centric financial planning, professional portfolio management, streamlined performance reporting, and a collaboration with tax and legal professionals.
Now residing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Mr. Ficken at one time served as Myrtle Beach’s Mayor for eight years, Chairman of the State Water Resource Commission and President of the South Carolina’s Municipal Association. He is a member of Trinity Church and a member and past President of the Dunes Golf and Beach Club. Erick has two married daughters and three granddaughters.

As a consumer, it’s important to know the basics about Medicare. However, we realize it can be confusing to determine which plan will work best for you – so that’s why Medicare BackOffice® is here to help.
What is Medicare?
Medicare is health insurance for people age 65 or older, under age 65 with certain disabilities and people of any age with end-stage renal disease. Below, we will explain the four parts of Medicare — Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D.
It’s important that you understand the different components of Medicare and carefully weigh your choices. Why? Because your decision will impact many things, from what you pay and which benefits are available to you, to which doctors you can see and the quality of care you receive.
You Have Several Options, Depending on Where You Live. You Can:
– Elect Original Medicare
– Elect Original Medicare and add drug coverage with a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan
– Substitute a private Medicare Advantage plan for Original Medicare
– Substitute a private Medicare Advantage plan that also includes Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage in place of Original Medicare (resulting in an “MA-PD” plan)
– Elect Original Medicare, add a Medicare Supplement insurance plan to pay for any gaps in coverage and add drug coverage with a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan
