Partner | Wealth Manager
Bringing over twenty years of industry experience to his clients, Wealth Manager and Partner David McLean operates his independent practice at Kingsview Partners in Eugene, Oregon.
Mr. McLean grew up near the beach on the outskirts of Orange County in Southern California. Having attended four different colleges, UC Irvine, Oregon State University, the University of Oregon and the University of Nevada, he holds degrees in both Geology and Science Education.
Before his career in financial services, David worked as an exploration and mining geologist in some of the largest open pit gold mines in the world. In the hostile and dangerous mining environments, he developed a keen eye for detail that he has been able to apply as a Wealth Advisor today.
Having spent the last twenty-one years as a Financial Advisor, Mr. McLean has worked for such firms as Edward Jones, Bank of America and Wells Fargo before joining Kingsview. His favorite part of the business is getting to know his clients personally, learning and discussing their goals and dreams. They ultimately become part of his extended family and have many times enriched his own life in a multitude of ways.
Thankful to now be aligned with a truly independent Registered Investment Advisory Firm, David operates under a fiduciary standard. Along with Kingsview’s multi-custodian, fee-based platform he has the freedom to truly provide comprehensive client centric strategies and
services which include holistic financial planning, professional portfolio management, streamlined performance reporting and collaboration with tax and legal professionals.
Away from the office, David is an avid college sports fan, and especially passionate about baseball. Known as the “sign guy” at OSU games, he usually has 8-12 different signs per game and has been captured by ESPN and the Pac-12 channel multiple times. He is also an avid gardener and active in the local community as a board volunteer with various non-profit organizations. David currently lives in Eugene with his wonderful wife of 40 years, Marla and their Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Poppy.
