Michael Vineyard is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Partner, and Wealth Manager with Kingsview Partners, serving clients from McCall and throughout Idaho’s West Central Mountains. His approach to wealth management has been shaped by nearly three decades of military service, years of advising families, and a career spent stepping toward challenges rather than away from them.
Told He Would Fail. He Came Anyway
In 2010, a highly successful retired Edward Jones advisor gave Michael a blunt warning: don’t move to McCall. Others had tried to build practices there and failed. He believed Michael would, too.
Michael moved within weeks.
What followed was not simply the building of a financial practice, but a deep connection to a place and its people. McCall became home, and Michael believes earning the trust of the community comes with a responsibility to serve it well.

Michael believes most people do not walk into a financial conversation asking about purpose or legacy. They start somewhere much more immediate:

Through strategic advice, financial planning, and investment guidance, Michael and his team help clients answer that question with greater clarity. His work begins with listening, understanding what matters most, and building financial strategies around the life a client actually wants to live.
Leadership Built Under Pressure
Michael entered West Point in 1995 and went on to serve nearly 27 years across the Active-Duty U.S. Army, Michigan Army National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserve. His service included deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan as well as national COVID-19 contingency operations. He retired as a lieutenant colonel in 2022.
That experience continues to shape the way Michael leads his team, advises clients, and serves his community. He has developed military leaders, coached financial advisors, supported civic and philanthropic organizations, and helped families and organizations strengthen their financial foundations.
For Michael, success is not measured only by the practice he has built. It is measured by families made more secure, relationships strengthened, leaders developed, and a community better because he chose to be part of it.
Outside of the office, Michael is a proud father to his sons, Atlas and Ullr.
